I AM researching my family tree and wonder if it would be possible for you to help me out by publishing this request. The families I am researching are the Maddeford/Willis's from the Bere Ferrers/Bere Alston/Tavistock area.
My great-grandmother was Jane Maddeford, born 1814 in Bere Alston. She married John Hutchens, November 9 1843 in Bere Ferrers. There were two daughters from this marriage: Jane and Pauline. John Hutchens died quite young.
Jane then married John Willis, born 1815 in Beer Town. They had three children: Thomas Willis born 1859, Ellen Willis born 1861 (my grandmother), Richard Willis born 1865.
If anyone can help me with information regarding this request, no matter how remote it may seem, it may help tie up some loose ends for me and a distant cousin in Canada.
