South West Peninsula League Plymstock 6 Okehampton Argyle 0 ARGYLE continue to struggle after once again being without six regular first team players. Okehampton battled hard for the first 30 minutes in a first half that saw both teams push their defences upfield and with 20 players in the middle third of the pitch the game became frustrating and riddled with offsides. A lack of communication in the Argyle defence gifted Plymstock their opener and the second came just before half time in a similar fashion. Argyle did come out in the second half and tried to pull a goal back but the Plymstock defence held firm and kept them out. Plymstock went on to win this fixture convincingly when they seemed to open up Argyle at ease spreading the ball wide and getting in behind the Argyle back three. The feeling is that Okehampton will get stronger in this league and start to take some points from their opponents and are eagerly awaiting the return of a few players that will no doubt strengthen the side over the next few weeks. l Next week Argyle are away to Stoke Gabriel, kick-off 2.45pm.
