Tavistock U13s 19 Okehampton U13s 10 RIGHT from the kick off Tavistock put their opponents under pressure and Okes, not yet acclimatised to the full sized pitch, repeatedly failed to find touch with their clearing kicks. This provided Tavistock with a continuing source of possession. Eventually the pressure told and first Dawe and then Coker used their speed and strength to burst through the defence and score under the posts, with Longden making successful conversions. From the restart kick off great handling across the backs saw the ball arrive in Coker?s hands who then raced 50m to touch down in the corner. At this point Okes started playing to their strength and through a mixture of rucks, mauls and short bursts managed to force their way over the line twice in the space of 10 minutes. There was more than a little tension in the air in the final quarter of the game, but the back row went on the offensive and safely closed the game out.
