A MAN from Weir Quay was recently awarded second place in the U3A national photographic competition for his creative picture. Cliff Wilkins, a member of the West Dartmoor U3A, was delighted to find his picture, ?Contemplating decorating the living room? (right), selected for the top three out of hundreds of entries, under the theme ?The Good Life?. Judges of the competition, who included Eamonn McCabe a former picture editor of the Guardian, found Mr Wilkins? picture ?well exposed? and liked the fact he had specifically ?snapped? the picture for the competition. Mr Wilkins was presented with Photoshop, a graphics editor programme for photographers.
