THE Plymouth side was well drilled and outplayed the Tavistock scratch team for the first 20 minutes with three good tries to one from Elspeth MacKellar making it 17-7. When Kirstie MacCall urged the forwards to be more committed. It paid dividends when Rachel Watson broke out from the loose to score under the posts. This was followed by tries by Elsbeth MacKellar and Kirstie MacCall.
In the last five minutes, Elspeth MacKellar dived across the line but was adjudged to have dropped the ball. A further try by Albion gave them a win although this was an honourable loss for Tavistock. Katy Scorer was Tavistock's player of the match.
l The girls and the Colts will be modelling local retailers clothing at a Fashion Show at Tavistock Rugby Club tomorrow, Friday, March 19 at 7.30pm. There is a small entrance fee to include the buffet, with proceeds towards the tour funds. All are welcome.

IN a seven-a-side match Ali Huntley and Lauren Dawe for Tavistock outran the Albion defence time after time. On a big pitch Huntley had little difficulty in finding a way through for the first of her four tries. This was followed by Alice Upcott who battled in the loose for the ball to find herself with a clear run to the line. Fiona MacCall added the points. Within 30 seconds of the restart Ali Huntley was crossing the line followed by three tries in quick succession by Lauren Dawe — one converted well by Fiona MacCall from out on the far right. Kim Upcott at hooker carried the ball effectively while Flo Rodgers at scrum half was fast to the breakdown. Rosie Tidball tackled faultlessly. Tavistock player of the match was Lauren Dawe
