Tavistock AFC U18s 1

Chaddlewood Miners 1

TAVISTOCK displayed perhaps their best game of the season - despite having to play for the majority of the match with 10 players.

Tavistock started with vim and vigour, displaying the type of commitment missing in some earlier games - but were set back when Jake Case was red carded within 20 minutes.

Tavistock immediately had to reshuffle with Doyle slotting in at right back and Rodukov moving to right wing.   Ayres soon came on for Davidson and played a major part in the Tavistock revival - along with Pridham up front and Hoar in midfield.

Man of the match Radukov found spaceto attack the opposition defence and he duly delivered with a superb 30 metre dipping shot to make the score 1-0 to Tavistock.  The home team continued to advance and had numerous chances before Chaddlewood showed thier own commitment to come back to equalise.

Tavistock AFC U18s 3

TAVISTOCK seemingly score at will initially but after goals from Robins, Doyle and Rodukov they sat back and allowed the home team far too many chances and eventually two goals.

The second half continued with Tavistock on the defense and SB gathering momentum but with Monty having yet another great game in goal they were thwarted at every opportunity, giving Tavistock yet another win in their ever improving season.

Tav Thistles U12s 3

FROM the whistle Tavistock applied the pressure and Dom Evans took advantage of a keeping error to give Thistles an early lead.

Inspired by this positive start, Thistles played some good football. A well worked throw in and good passing play put Josh Langsford through for Thistles second goal.

Saltash pulled a goal back before the break, and early in the second half levelled the match from the penalty spot.

The game was set up for an exciting finish. Solid Thistles defending held Saltash at bay, and some good attacking play saw an opportunity for Billy Walker to lob the Saltash keeper to put Thistles back in the lead, which they held on to for a well deserved win.

THISTLES got the points they deserved.

Target man Matt Havron worked hard to hold the ball and link with midfield. He was rewarded for his efforts just before the interval when he ran on to a great through ball from man of the match, Ian Harvey, and fired home past a stranded keeper.

Sam Walker and Ian Harvey provided much needed width, while Jonny Hake and Cadan Lowther drove the team forward as did Pavel Drobek. Defenders, Sean Stevens, Jack Quinn, Ed Argles, Sam Newton and Louis Wilson performed well as a unit to protecting keeper, Jack Haigh, by limiting the number of opportunities from the Woodford attack.

Keyham Kolts U18s 6

A KOLTS clearance fell to Sean Stevens on the edge of the box, and he lashed an unstoppable drive past the Kolts keeper. The lead didn't last long before an error gifted Keyham possession, and the ensuing foul resulted in a penalty, which Keyham coolly converted to level.

Thistles were back in front when a back pass to the keeper was sliced into his own goal, but Tavistock could not hold on to lead and another error saw Keyham draw level from a corner just before the break.

In the second half the superior fitness of Keyham saw them dominate possession as Thistles were forced onto the  defensive back foot, but some dogged defending couldn't prevent Keyham from taking the game with four second half goals.

Lipson Utd U12s 3

TAVISTOCK Town went 2-0 up in the first seven minutes through two quick goals from Teigan Rosenquest.

Three minutes later Lipson hit back through Darren Noad making it 2-1 after only ten minutes played.

Town pushed forward creating further chances but Lipson's defence and keeper Aaron Dluggett kept the doors firmly shut.

On 15 minutes Lipson equalised and two minutes later they went 3-2 ahead. Town responded and levelled the score when Harry Rawlinson's firm strike found the back of the net from just outside the box.

Teigan Rosenquest then scored his 22nd goal of the season and completed his hat-trick to put Town 4-3 in front just  before half time.

In the second-half Cameron Heard gave Town a 5-3 lead while good defensive work by Dan Bailey, Thomas Mcmahon, Jack Piper and Nathan Dodd prevented lipson from scoring any further goals. Max Williams for Town showed full  commitment in his challenges.

George Mitchell made it 6-3 with ten minutes to go before Charlie Barriball scored from 25 yards out from a well struck free-kick.
