OAK Villa proved why they are the hot favourites for promotion this year.
The game started well for Tavistock when they took the lead after five minutes, courtesy of a shrewd through ball from Sam Turner, which was skilfully finished by Charlie Gale. Tavistock were good value for their lead however, when inform Matthew White had to leave the field injured this affected the balance of the side and Oak Villa immediately equalised. The situation worsened as Town conceded four more before the break to be 5-1 down.
Another four were conceded in the second half as many of the side seemed to lack the will to compete.
The front two of Midson Holmes and Matt McClung worked tirelessly, with the latter having an outstanding game. Mention also must be made of goalkeeper Ben Jones who worked hard to keep the score down.

CHARLIE Gale opened the scoring for Town after good work from Sam Turner. Town looked extremely good going forward, creating a number of chances. Broad Meadow were restricted to sporadic breaks which were dealt with confidently by the Tavistock back four in which Karl Howell Andrews was prominent.
Tavistock went two up from a Sam Turner penalty after Mat McClung was upended in the box.
In the second half Tavistock increased their lead when McClung followed up a Midson Holmes shot to put the home side three up. The visitor's scrambled a goal five minutes from the end.
