TWENTY-TWO athletes and joggers from Tavistock Athletic Club competed in the Ivybridge 10K on May 11.
First home for the club was Martin Exley in 29th place. Martin, Robin Musgrave, Mike Lewis, Annette Roberts and Beryl Bowles all finished in the top ten of their age category.
For six of the runners this was their first attempt at the distance and they are looking forward to many more races in the future.
For those readers who are not yet metric, 10K is approximately six and a quarter miles. Far from being flat, the Ivybridge 10K is a tough hilly course so it was very pleasing to see six runners achieving personal best times.
