TAMAR Valley Methodist Church hosted a Christmas lunch to raise money for charity. The three-course turkey meal was served by members of the Albaston Church, and was well attended.

After the meal, carols were sung to the accompaniment of one of the church organists, Joan Bose, and a raffle was held.

The event raised £188, which will be divided between Sightsavers International and the fund for the relief of flood victims in Cumbria.
