WITH the GB Badminton Squad taking a well deserved silver at the Olympics in Athens and the badminton season now starting locally there may be youngsters locally wanting to try out the sport.
BAT?s and Horrabridge Badminton Clubs have junior sections run by acredited BAofE coaches. The clubs take young people of all levels of ability and have a proven record of producing players for the junior county squads and, recently, senior county level.

BAT?s Adult Badminton Club celebrated last season by winning Division 3 of the Plymouth and District Badminton League and followed it up by dominating the end of season tournament by taking four out of five of the trophies in their category.
Three members went on to represent Devon at senior badminton level during the season.
