SUSAN Reynolds is concerned about the reported additional expenditure on the newly completed Pannier Market toilets (Letters, September 26).
Having observed the new toilets in operation, some councillors requested that minor modifications and additions be carried out, some of which were not part of the original specification. These have been or are being done at low cost.
The cost of providing ongoing sanitary services for the toilets (not part of the building contract) was presented as being in excess of £2,000 per annum. This figure was incorrect; the true cost will be £288 per annum.
