Those attending were treated to a fine meal thanks to caterer Molly Bickle and her team.
Guests of honour were club president, deputy town mayor, Marjorie Corner and Devon County Bowling Association president Roger Bawden.
Mrs Corner paid tribute to the Devon County Association, which under the leadership of Mr Bawden, had achieved several major bowling trophies, including the county team winning the Middleton Cup, a prize Devon had only won once in the previous 28 years.
Mrs Corner presented trophies to winners of the men?s and mixed competitions, which were: Club champion, Mike Allen; runner-up, Clive Jago; handicap winner, Robert Bowhay; runner-up, Roy Northam.

The biggest cheer of the evening was reserved for the last presentation, when ladies? captain Mrs Hazel Lovell performed the unusual duty of presenting a ?Hot Shot? badge to both her husband Henry and team member Gordon Northey.
