A TREE marking the 100 year centenary of the Meadows in Tavistock being under the custodianship of the town council is due to be planted within the next few months.
The tree will be accompanied by a plaque.
Council works superintendent Wayne Southall said consultation was taking place regarding the exact location within the Meadows where the tree will be planted — and which type of tree.
'It will be a semi-mature tree — and definitely a native species,' said Mr Southall.
