A TREE has been planted at Burrator Reservoir to commemorate the life of Anne Frank and all children across the world who have been killed through wars and persecution.
Two young people, who attended World Youth Day in Krakow last year and Auschwitz-Birkenau, planted a horse chestnut tree in Burrator Arboretum.
The planting was followed by a blessing of the tree by Father Louis Rieunier and a one-minute silence as an act of remembrance.
The event was organised by David Hemmings, a local resident and regular visitor to Burrator, and supported by South West Lakes Trust.
