THIS tree came down from the Bere Alston side of Denham Bridge near Tavistock in the storms at the weekend. The tree is believed to be around 100 years old. Despite the atrocious weather (and according to reports the area has not had a completely dry 24 hours since October 23) there have been no reports of any serious flooding incidents in the West Devon and East Cornwall areas although water flowing out of blocked drains has been a problem.
