As a child during the war, John Griffiths was evacuated from London to South Wales.
A series of traumatic events left John with a bad speech impediment.
Feeling unloved and useless, his life became a series of disastrous events until he met someone who helped him transform his life and his ability to communicate.
People are invited to hear John, who comes from Pontypridd, South Wales, telling his own story in animated and invigorating style when he visits the New Life Church, New Road, Okehampton, on Sunday, May 16, at 10.30am.
