FIRE crews were called to reports of a collision on the B3362 at Higher Artiscombe, Tavistock, last Wednesday morning (March 6).

Initial reports were that the incident involved a single vehicle which had rolled and that no-one was trapped. But on arrival the crew from Tavistock found there was still one casualty trapped in the vehicle, so another crew from Bere Alston was called.

The crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof in order safely release to the female from the vehicle. She was taken to hospital and the matter was left with police.
