OKEHAMPTON District Community Transport Group is holding its 20th birthday celebrations at the town's Ockment Centre on Wednesday August 4.

Sue Wonnacott, the co-ordinator of the group, said: 'We have been in operation for 20 years and felt that we should celebrate by holding a party at the centre, in the hall from 2pm to 4pm. 

'Everyone is welcome and we shall have refreshments, a chance to meet the staff, passengers and drivers, and the new DVD, 'Just Ask', will be showing, which explains what community transport does for the area.

'We will have both our new Mercedes Ring and Ride bus and the wheelchair accessible Peugeot available for inspection.'
