THANKS to the introduction of a 'Tramper' all-terrain mobility scooter at Treesurfers in Gunnislake, the stunning woodlands of the Tamar Valley are now accessible to all.

Treesurfers offers ropes courses and zip-wire tours designed to help people get up close with woodlands in the Tamar Valley.

With the introduction of the Tramper, people with limited mobility can now head out and explore the 25km of Tamar Trails.

John Ladlow from Gulworthy was the first person to try out the Tramper on the Tamar Trails.  John said: 'I tried out this vehicle last week and was able to go on all the multi-use tracks throughout the trails. It is robust enough to tackle even the steeper tracks and felt very safe.'

To hire the Tramper people need to join the Countryside Mobility South West membership scheme (£8.50 per year or £2.50 for four weeks) which covers users for all Tramper sites in the South West.
