THIS Sunday (September 3) sees the last chance of the year to take a trip back in time on the scenic Tamar Valley Line with Bere Alston local historian and former railwayman John Snell. Mr Snell will be giving a talk on the Tamar Valley Line train, sharing anecdotes about local railway life and telling the story of the line and how he has seen it change through the years since he started working at Calstock Station in 1949. Mr Snell will be joining the 3.17pm train from Plymouth at Bere Ferrers at 3.35pm ? the talk will be to Gunnislake and back. Normal fares apply.
