IN freezing conditions Tavistock U8s took on Stonehouse Sharks at the Creek.

The game was played with great spirit from both sides and because of a large pitch and cold hands, the score resembled a basketball match!

Toby, playing his best game of the year scored five tries, Tom (3), and Liam (2), however our tally of 10 tries, five in each half was just pipped by Stonehouse who scored 14 tries

Other notable performances came from Jack, Joe and Ted as they tagged with great spirit.

In the second match, Joey, Jacob and William came to the fore, and both William and Jacob scored good tries.

All the team got a chance to run with the ball and practice their support play. Tom and Toby also scored tries in the second game

The opposition complimented the Tavistock team for the improvement in their play since last year and the spirit with which they played.
