IN their final home game Tavistock had to leave their base of Kelly College and play at Crowndale.
The Tavistock side put in one of their best performances of the season to beat a team they have never had the better of previously.
The game was hardly a minute old when Pridham broke clear and scored Tavistock's first to set the game alight! However, silly mistakes in defence by the home side led to a penalty to allow Weston Mill to equalise half way through the first half.
The game then settled down but although the visitors were creating a little more than Tavistock there was no real threat on the home team goal in the half.
Tavistock went onto the attack and after numerous missed chances Pridham bagged his second. Sound work in defence by player of the match Alford, Wearing and Blatchford allowed Weston Mill little space; with the ball played well upfield to Mayne and Doidge on the wings Tavistock were able to create many chances.
With injuries forcing Weston Mill down to nine players they struggled to hold the Tavistock onslaught; the home team were rewarded for their efforts when Mayne put away their third goal.
Although Robins hit the bar Tavistock could not score their fourth but when the whistle blew for full-time they thoroughly deserved their win.
