THE conservation group Tavistock Taskforce has announced it will be a part of an annual event tomorrow (Friday) to celebrate volunteering. To mark ?Make a Difference Day? existing volunteers and anyone interested in volunteering their time will be able to take part in a ?beautifying Tavistock? session in the Tavistock Meadows. This will see many people cleaning litter from the area from 11am until 3pm. Anyone who would like to take part should meet by the footbridge adjacent to the refreshment kiosk. If possible participants are asked to wear outdoor gear and gloves, bring a litter picker stick, and bin bags. CSV Make a Difference Day is the UK?s biggest day of ?hands-on? volunteering to help make a difference to the local community. This is one of the only campaigns which asks people to give time, not money.
