A TAVISTOCK gift store is enjoying a double celebration this month after being nominated for a retailing 'Oscar' and marking its third year of trading in the town. Insideout in West Street has been shortlisted as a finalist for a 'Greats' award, known within the industry as the 'Oscars' of gift retail. The contempory lifestyle and jewellery store is a finalist in the Independent Retailer of the Year category for the South West in the progressive gifts and home retailer awards. Owners Nicky and Paul Edmunds said: 'The award nomination comes as a huge boost not only for Insideout but for Tavistock town centre itself, which is gaining a growing reputation for its diverse range of independent shops. Apart from the West Street outlet in Tavistock, Insideout has also opened a store in Dartmouth in East Devon. The owners also plan to expand further with a branch in the new Princesshay development in Exeter later this year. The winner of the award will be announced at a London ceremony in May.
