PLACES are still available to take part in Callington's first ever Santa Sprint this Saturday at 3.30pm.

The one-mile route will see Santas of all ages and abilities sprinting and jogging around Callington — finishing in time for runners to enjoy the Victorian Christmas Market, the arrival of Santa on his sleigh and the switching on of the Christmas lights.

The event is being held in aid of children's charity CHICKS, which provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK. 

Entry fee is £10 for adults, £5 for children and £25 for a family entry and includes a Santa suit, medal and a pasty.
