Tavistock Town under16s..........2 Activate United Under16s.........1 TAVISTOCK played top of the league and went out fighting. The defence of Hammond, Hopkins, Kelly and Johnson were superb and Webber in goal was determined to keep the strike force of Activate out. Fighting a strong wind passing had to be accurate and chances were made by the fast pace of Dee. Kelly cleared up most attacks but Activate began to pass the ball around and get shots off but Webber looked confident in goal. Half time saw the score line goalless. Tavistock started the second half well with Pratt coming on as left wing. Strong challenges came in from both sides and Hopkins who had played well for his debut match was unlucky to get booked after a late challenge. Once again Webber pulled off a string of excellent saves. Finally Tavistock got the break with a through ball by Doyle for Bray to strike home. Derbyshire commanded well and set Bray up for an excellent shot to put Tavistock further into the lead. In the dying minutes Activate sent a low cross over and was met by an unmarked striker leaving Webber no chance. Man of the match: Mark Webber. Mangers player:Chris Bray.
