YELVERTON Tennis Club enjoyed their annual teams? supper at the Jasmine Restaurant, Yelverton on October 22.
John Marshall, vice-chairman, gave thanks to all members who played for the teams and especially to captains Ann Short, Phil Gasche and Junior captain Shirley Williams.
It had been a difficult summer season, mainly due to the wet weather and play availability and unfortunately the men?s A and C teams will be relegated next year.
Special thanks went to Roger Froud, club coach, for his contribution to the success of the club and to Joy Tynan for her press reports and for helping to arrange the evening.
A special mention was made for Marjorie Comeau who has been a tremendous supporter of the teams for 14 years and has now moved to Lincolnshire.
