AMERICAN jazz trumpet player Randy Sandke has performed at festivals, concerts and clubs around the world — and now he comes to Tavistock.
Whilst able to play in any jazz idiom he is most at home with the melodic full tone style of trumpet playing associated with Clifford Brown and Buck Clayton.
In the mid 80"s he played and recorded with Benny Goodman.
He has performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall and alongside all the leading jazz musicians of the past decade — including Clark Terry and Kenny Burrell and more recently with Harry Allen, Ken Peplowski and Kenny Davern.
Tamar Valley Jazz Association will be presenting this outstanding performer at the Ordulph Arms on Friday, October 19.
He will be supported by the locally talented Craig Milverton and his trio.
