A WEST Devon florist is thrilled to have been shortlisted for a prestigious award for her wedding floristry.

Nadia Taylor, owner of Flowers Going Green in Horrabridge, has been shortlisted for the Best West Country Wedding Flowers Provider in the West Country Wedding Awards.

The award has been judged on nominations submitted from recently married couples who used Nadia to supply their wedding flowers. Judges chose the best six florists based on comments and feedback from genuine customers who were asked to score florists in a variety of areas.

Nadia, who set up the business two and a half years ago, said: 'The West Country Wedding Awards mean so much to any business that gets nominated because they are judged on comments from actual customers who you have worked for. This award nomination recognises the hard work put in by all the team at Flowers Going Green and the level of dedicated service we offer all our customers.'

This accolade comes as the latest in a string of recognition for Nadia and her shop, which includes being voted as a top ten florist in the national Hitched Breakthrough Awards 2011 and being awarded second place in the regional heats for the Chelsea Flower Show 2012.

The winner will be chosen from today (Thursday) the list of six finalists based on the company mission statement, website and overall feedback from customers.
