HEALTH care staff across West Devon have achieved top marks in a Government survey.
The Commission for Health Improvement (CHI) awarded South Hams and West Devon Primary Care Trust a full three stars in the new national ratings system.
Alan Tibbenham, chief executive of the trust, said: ?I am absolutely delighted that the hard work and high standards of the staff we employ in the PCT is reflected in this result.
?It is also due to the top class service we get from GPs and other local independent contractors and from the local district general hospitals.?
The trust achieved all nine key targets set out in the survey, including getting 90% of patients to a GP within two working days, and admitting, transferring or discharging 90% of patients from A&E within four hours.
