PUPILS of the former Okehampton Secondary Modern School living as far away as Aberdeen met up again for a reunion at Okehampton Conservative Club recently.

The reunion for the 'Class of 1959' was attended by more than 100 people, including three teachers, many former pupils and their partners.

One of the organisers Heather Jones said it was a marvellous occasion and it was lovely to meet so many old friends again.

There was a disco with sounds from the 60s, a buffet and a draw which raised £112 for the Devon Air Ambulance.
