A CALIFORNIAN has written to the Times in an effort to tie up a relationship between a man who died on the Titanic and his grandmother.

Bob Hamma would like any member of the Rogers family who owned the Tavistock Marble and Monument Works until 1972 to contact him.

Mr Hamma is trying to determine the relationship between his maternal grandmother Frances Ellen Rogers and Harry Rogers who died in 1912 on the English passenger liner which struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sank with the loss of 1,513 lives.

Anyone with any information on the Rogers family can contact Mr Hamma at 2225 Jack Tone Road, #8, Ripon, California 95366, USA or email [email protected]">[email protected].
