WITH Christmas receding, thoughts turn to spring as green fingers itch to start sowing seeds. In the lead up to fairer weather, Richard Kelsey, of Petrockstowe, will give a talk to enlighten members of South Tawton Garden Club on how to grow the perfect vegetables. He will be telling them how he produces top quality vegetables to meet the high standards demanded by consumers. His talk will include useful tips on how to protect produce from pests and disease while informing the club members on how to achieve consistently good yields from the vegetables they grow. The meeting will take place at Belstone village hall at 7.30pm on Thursday January 24. All are welcome to attend.
