TIPS on how to make good use of odd pieces of fabric and unwanted small furniture items will be on offer at Tavistock Parish Church Fete, on the church green, on Saturday (July 7).
Members of the church’s ‘Vintage Green’ group will once again be selling everything from bags and cushion covers, to aprons and craft gifts, they have spent the past year making from recyclable materials.
The fete will be opened by Tavistock mayor Cllr Paul Ward and will also feature wood turning, books, DVDs, bric-a-brac, cakes, pre-loved clothing and plants. The fete will run from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
There will be fun activities and sideshows, with a bouncy castle and face painting for the children and food and refreshments. The event will be in aid of church funds.
