STAFF at the Times are mourning the death of one of their colleagues, Sue (Penny) Pennington, aged 60, after a short illness.
Penny, as she was known to staff and advertisers, lived in Walkhampton and worked in the advertising department for 21 years.
She was well known to customers throughout the area, who have praised her kindness and friendship. They, like us at the Times, will miss her very much.
Times general manager Lyn Roberts said colleagues were deeply saddened by the news: 'Penny was a very valued and popular member of the team. She had a lovely manner and could always raise a smile with her sense of humour, even when times were hard.
'Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.'
Penny leaves a husband, Bernie, daughters Debbie and Vicky, son-in-laws Keith and Jeff and grandchildren Benjamin, Corey and Millie.
Penny's funeral took place at Walkhampton Church yesterday (Wednesday).
