MY father is 93 years old, still working as a watchmaker jeweller. He started his shop in the village of Freshwater in May 1952. We are now at a larger shop — but he is still 'the boss'!
Originally from Stowford, he was one of 12 children. Eleven reached adulthood, one was killed by a motorcycle when he was eleven, my father is the only survivor of that family.
The 'Tavvy Times' is eagerly awaited every week — he generally does not go to lunch on a Friday until it has been delivered!
