VOLUNTEERS are being sought for a grand planting day on Sunday (May 15) to make Callington bloom.

Plants and donations have been collected and enthusiasm drummed up by businesswomen Gail Buttery and Geraldine Sharp and the Town Forum to make Callington more attractive.

Pavement planters will be placed in New Road and Fore Street and shops and businesses will have displays. It is hoped as many people as possible will join in and look after displays in their areas.

Any voluntary help for the main town displays is welcome. Just turn up at the Callington Heritage Centre at 2.30pm.
