WHITCHURCH Ladies bid to go straight back into division one is looking good as for the second week in a row they beat Bovey Tracey.
The Wayfarers put Bovey into bat first and apart from a little resistance in the middle of their overs Whitchurch were always in control with Jo Birkett, Cathy Griffin, Ali Moore and Ang Hunt all bowling well — only giving away 11 extras between them.
The fielders worked well to keep the runs down. and Bovey were all out in the 26th over for 86.
Whitchurch then batted steadily with Cathy as top scorer on 32, well supported by Ali and Mel Leach.
The West Devon side reached their total in the 20th over.
Whitchurch Ladies next league game is at home to Cornwood on July 24, when they hope to continue their unbeaten run.
