THE Tigers hockey team, having now won five games on the trot, played their penultimate match of the summer, needing a good win to strengthen their

position in the league.

Tigers played bottom of the table Totnes who have had one win this season. The Tigers forwards soon took control of the match and before half-time were eight goals ahead. George, playing his first game as goalkeeper for the Tigers had little to do; his defence kept the opposition at bay and only conceded two goals in the second half.

The Tigers eased up on the pressure and only managed two goals after the interval.

This was a good overall team performance. Thanks were expressed to Gareth George for organising the team over the past few months and to the umpires.
