TIDY Tavi volunteers will be making efforts to help keep the streets and public areas of Tavistock as tidy as possible this month.

‘This is especially important at this time of year as ever more visitors arrive to enjoy the sights and boost the economy of Tavistock as well as the surrounding area,’ said a Tidy Tavi spokesperson.

‘It is clear from web-based organisations such as Tripadvisor and in other social media material, that Tavistock is seen by many tourists as the jewel of Dartmoor and a very attractive destination on any tour of the Westcountry. Clean streets and tidy parks are essential in maintaining this reputation. If you have a pride in your town and would like to help out, it’s easy – just come along to the Meadowlands Leisure Centre at 10am on Saturday, June 4.’
