THE first formal meeting of Tiddybrook Residents' Association was held last week at Whitchurch Village Hall.

Around 42 residents attended and confirmed the appointment of six committee members and its new chairman, John Carpenter.

The association is designed to provide a forum where all aspects of the Tiddybrook Meadows development can be discussed and, where appropriate, solutions found to issues as they arise.

Redrow's sales director Barry Stiles attended and, for more than an hour, discussed a range of matters relating to the ongoing landscaping and road development.

Mr Carpenter confirmed he had organised a football club for children in Tiddybrook and hoped to arrange matches with other junior teams in the Tavistock area. He also said Mr Stiles had promised Redrow would be underwriting the cost of the children's football kit.

The next meeting has been arranged for Wednesday, September 9 at 7pm. While the venue has not been confirmed, it is hoped to be held in Whitchurch Primary School. All residents of the Tiddybrook Meadows development are invited to attend.
