CONSERVATIVE A surged to the top of the Tavistock Snooker league by profitably winning their game in hand with a thumping 5-0 over neighbours Conservative D.
Holmes for Con D started brightly against Cook but it was only a matter of time before Cook found enough to pull the frame around. The Evans steam train rolled on with an easy win over Wilkinson while Lacey made short work of Heartfield who just could not get the balls in the pockets. Folley and Day fought out a hard safety game before former managed to ease ahead and win on the blue. Carruthers, with an early 24 break, comfortably overcame Hoare to make it a 'fiver' for Con A and take them four points clear at the top of the league.
With only their 'Carling Cup Reserve' team out, and Babb being rested, this result again proves Con A are the team to beat this season.
