THREE candidates have thrown their hats into the ring for the election to fill the vacant seat on Tavistock Town Council.
The seat, which is on the town?s North ward, became vacant following the resignation of Liberal Democrat David Stapleton earlier this summer.
The three candidates are Independent Harry Smith, a former town councillor and deputy mayor of Tavistock; Jane Ramsey, who is standing for the Conservatives, and Anthony Everitt, also a former town councillor, who stands for the Liberal Democrats.
The election will be held on September 18.
