MORE than £18,000 was presented by Tavistock Town Council at its annual grants presentation evening.

Fifteen groups and organisations, which applied to the town council for a grant, received differing amounts of funding totalling £18,500 at the event last week.

The groups which benefited were Tavistock Carers Support Group, Kingdon House Association, Make A Difference, Junior Life Skills, Tavistock Swimming Club, Tavistock Parish Church, Tavistock Edge, Tavistock Passion Play, Tavistock Rugby Club, Tavistock Physically Challenged Group, Tavyside Patients’ Association, Robey Trust, Stannary Brass Band, Tavistock and District Local Transport Partnership and Torridge, North, Mid and West Devon Rural Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
