ON a bitterly cold day at Hoskin Park, Thistles warmed themselves up with a lightning start, being two goals up with five minutes of the kick-off, Connor Cooper carrying on from where he left off the previous week.
B J Hughes added another before an own goal had the away supporters in raptures and forgetting all about the temperature.
Chaddlewood settled and pulled a couple of goals back before the break.
After the restart Thistles again started the brighter and Cooper completed his hat-trick to restore a nice cushion between the sides going into the latter stages of the game.
Chaddlewood then scored two quick goals and despite the heroics of Daniel Allan as a late stand-in to the regular Thistles' keeper, and some outstanding defending by Will Muncey, it looked as though it would be another nailbiting finish.
However, with some lovely passing and great ball control throughout the team, it was Thistles who finished things off in style with both Cooper and Hughes adding to their over-increasing goal tallies.
Superb teamwork shone through again this week and bodes well as Thistles go on their travels to Woolwell next time out.
