Tavistock Thistles are currently looking to sign new players to play football in all age groups. Tavistock Thistles FC is the town's oldest established local junior football club and it is looking to strengthen its squads and sign new players. If you or your children are between the ages of five and 14 and U18 and are keen to play regular first team football then get in touch with the Thistles. Its recent affiliation with Tavistock AFC means that the Thistles U18 team will now have the use of the Langsford Park pitch (weather permitting) for its home games as well as the use of the changing rooms and the facilities at the recently refurbished Red and Black Club. As an FA Charter Standard Club its coaches have attained a minimum of qualified Football Association level one standard. Thistles also have two coaches who are qualified FA level two and a third starting a level two course in September.  One of its coaches is also taking his level three (UEFA B License). All managers and coaches are Criminal Records Checked under Devon FA child protection regulations. Thistles play in the Devon Junior and Minor League and promote a fun and active facility for all to enjoy and develop their football.
