DJM Raleigh U14 division Woodford Colts 3 Tavistock Thistles 3 TAVISTOCK opened the scoring with Jay Lambert neatly slotting a pass through for Matt Havron to slip into the net. The solid defence of Robin Jones, Cadan Lowther, Tom Simmons and Ed Argles and goalkeeper Jack Haigh were strong throughout but the opposition found their opportunity to get the equaliser. Thistles then scored their next goal with Josh Leeson beating the goalkeeper from outside the box with a dipping volley. On the stroke of half time Colts equalised when they hit the post and then followed up the rebound, leaving it all square at half time. Second half changes saw Matt Pridham come on and a tense twenty minutes followed. Colts scored leaving the score three-two to the home side. Thistles finally got the goal they were looking for when good play from Matt Jeffries on the wing allowed Elliot Northmore to score. Man of the match: Robin Jones.
