Horrabridge Rangers U14s 2
Tavistock Thistles U14s 5
AGAINST nine man Horrabridge, Thistles put Rangers under early pressure, and both James Francis and Kieran Calvert had chances which went close. It was Corey Hancock, a constant thorn in the side, who did the damage as he completed a first half hat-trick.
Horrabridge worked extremely hard and were rewarded with a goal in each half, as Thistles' players took their foot off the gas. But with the numbers stacked against them, Rangers players became tired, and Tavistock's passing game started to dominate, creating an opening for Francis to strike Thistles' fourth.
Nathan Holland worked very hard in midfield and dominated the aerial battles, ably supported by Rory Kirkman, Patrick Powell and Adam Cowan-King. Horrabridge didn't give in and but for some excellent defensive work from captain Oliver Scanlan, Conor Hall and Dean Lambert, the score could have been even closer. Hancock scored his fourth, and it was George Conybeare who rounded things off when he made a surging run into the box to crash home a loose ball.

Torpoint Athletic Youth U12s 2
Tavistock Thistles U12s 4
THISTLES carried on their good form from last week as player of the match Toby Scanlan scored his and Thistles' first goal within seconds of the kick-off. The advantage was doubled midway through the half as Arran McDowall scored with a cool finish in the bottom left corner.
Torpoint pegged Thistles back by scoring shortly before half- time. The Thistles' midfield of Connor Boylin, Oliver Jerrett, Yuri Costello and Jack Hopwood played well, with Oliver beating players in all parts of the pitch. Harry Miskelly came on as a sub and continued the good work.
Toby scored twice more in the second half to complete a well-deserved hat-trick. These came either side of a Torpoint penalty, awarded for an handball against a Tavistock defender, and from which they scored.
Thistles' Tom Calvert had a excellent game at right back, along with fine defence from Tom Keane, Josh Walker and Jordan Seward. Isaac Jeffery in goal played a vital role in preserving Tavistock's lead, rushing out several times to intercept the ball.
Overall, this was a fairly even match in terms of chances, but it was Thistles' superior finishing that won the day.
