MRS Judith Williams, in her letter regarding the disbanding of the excellent Tavistock Access Group (Times, November 4), rightly praises the contribution made by so many people towards the success of this most pro-active of groups.

However, the reality is that her own contribution — and that of Mrs Angela Bradford and Mrs Marjorie Corner — is at the core of the group's considerable achievements over the years. For these three ladies have been tirelessly dedicated and persistent in their efforts to improve facilities and the quality of life for disabled people in our community. They deserve great thanks.
