AN ?anti-auction? organised by Tamar Valley Hash House Harriers in Tavistock recently has raised a splendid £600 towards Diabetes UK.

The auction was held at the Ordulph Arms and all proceeds will be put towards improvements at the diabetic centre in Derriford Hospital.

Hash grand master Bill Stacey-Norris said bids were received for a huge variety of ?very silly? items, ranging from a pink pony with no tail to a day?s naked gardening!

Bill said: ?Thanks must go to Andy Coad for use of the Ordulph Arms and to Neil Woolcock from Ward and Chowen, for conducting the auction under raucous conditions and keeping a sense of humour throughout!?
